Brett Schatto - CEO
Before entering the financial services industry in 2000, Brett’s first career was with the South Australian Police Force. Having worked as a detective in the areas of Criminal Investigation, Anti-Corruption and Serious Fraud, it’s no surprise he now applies forensic detail to financial planning. In 2003, Brett established Pride Advice as part of the RI Advice Group – one of the longest standing financial planning groups in Australia with more than 30 years of history. Along with his Bachelor of Commerce, Brett has a Diploma in Global Wealth Management and he’s also completed a Strategic Management Course at the HEC in Paris. From 2010-2012, he was a non-executive director on the RI Advice Board and from 2011-2012 chaired the RI Advice National Proprietor Advisory Council. In 2006, Brett was awarded the RI Advice Group Adviser of the year and made the AFA Top 10 Advisers list nationally in 2012. Both Brett and Pride Advice have also received many awards for excellence, including the prestigious Most Trusted Advisor in 2014 and 2015.
Sally Jenkins - Senior Paraplanner
Paraplanning is the bedrock of any Financial Planning Practice and, in Sally Jenkins, Pride Advice has one of the best and most experienced professionals in the business. With a Diploma in Financial Planning and more than 15 years in a variety of financial services roles, Sally is well known in the industry for her attention to detail and, as our resident compliance guru, an adherence to the highest standards. When it comes to “dotting the i’s and crossing the t’s” Sally’s expertise ensures clients’ financial plans are complete and accurate in every way.
Ghenwa Alaeddine - Practice Manager
A consummate all-rounder, Ghenwa performs two important tasks with aplomb. Firstly, she manages the practice, seeing that business runs smoothly and ensuring staff are happy and have all the resources to perform their function to perfection. And, secondly, she is an outstanding paraplanner in her own right having helped many of Pride Advice’s clients’ either reach their financial goals or be well on the way to achieving them. But that’s what you would expect from someone with Ghenwa’s credentials, with a Bachelor of Banking and International Finance and a Diploma in Financial Planning under her belt!
Malcolm Brown - Senior Financial Adviser
After entering financial services in 1986, Malcolm has gained a wealth of experience across the board through a diversity of roles with life offices, fund managers and financial planning practices. In 2004, he gained his Diploma of Financial Planning and in 2008 accreditation as a Certified Financial Planner, making him a member of the FPA. Even within financial planning, he’s explored every avenue, working in administration and client service, before becoming an adviser. What this means for Malcolm’s clients, is a formidable knowledge that crosses every aspect of our industry, along with an insight into how to create a package appropriate for your precise situation. As a mark of the man, it now gives him considerable satisfaction to pass on his vast expertise on the technical sides of the profession to younger staff. Outside of work, Malcolm enjoys playing golf and indoor cricket, watching most sports, and spending time with his wife and two daughters. With these qualifications and experience, he is well qualified to help clients to achieve their financial goals.
Tracey Boam - Senior Financial Adviser
Tracey Boam is a Senior Financial Planner whose key focus is to help her clients achieve their goals and to make positive changes in their lives.
She entered into the Financial Services Industry in 2003 after a career as a Hairdresser, Technical Consultant and Hairdressing Teacher; working in both Adelaide and London. Tracey believes the skills and work ethic that she has learnt in her previous career provides her with the empathy and understanding to work with clients of all ages and life stages.
Tracey is a Certified Financial Planner holding the highest designation in Financial Planning in Australia. Also holding specialisation in Self-Managed Super Funds and Margin Lending. Tracey has worked in several roles throughout her career gaining varied experience in all aspects of Financial Planning.
She believes that the most important part of her role is to help her clients understand their financial journey and achieve the financial future they choose.
Renay Richardson - Senior Financial Adviser
Renay has worked in the financial services profession since 1994. Over this time she has gained experience in various areas of the industry, working within financial planning, funds management and banking.
Renay has been directly advising clients since 2010. She enjoys working with clients to build their understanding of their personal financial situation and seeing the outcome of their strategies over time. This, together with building trust and a long-standing relationship is the most satisfying part of the job for her.
David Slovinec - Risk Specialist
Dave is an experienced and passionate specialist risk adviser who has worked in the financial services industry since 2007. Having also worked in business and sales management roles Dave has gained extensive knowledge of business management. Until most recently he has also held positions on the board of the Association of Financial Advisers (AFA) where he played an extensive part supporting financial adviser community. His commitment to the community also extends to supporting families caring for children with rare illnesses in the form of an annual The Super Loong Lunch. Since its establishment five years ago, he has played a major role in raising more than $200,000 to help provide lifesaving medical treatments.
When he’s not offering risk advice Dave enjoys time with his two young daughters, following his AFL team Port Power, and cooking up a storm in the kitchen.
