Brett Schatto
Adviser Profile
Brett is the founder and CEO of Pride Advice.
Born and bred in the Riverland, he moved to Adelaide after finishing school at 16 to study Naturopathy. Unsure of his career course and feeling guilty about his parents spending their hard-earned income on his tuition, accommodation and allowance, Brett decided to change direction.
Brett joined the South Australian Police Force in 1989, starting as a patrol officer and then working as a detective in the area of Criminal Investigation. Brett moved into SAPOL’s Anti-Corruption branch, and then the Serious Fraud Investigation Branch, where he worked on complex and highly-secretive cases, including serious financial planning fraud.
With a young family, Brett enrolled to study commerce at the University of Adelaide part-time and in 2000 left SAPOL to work as a financial planner. Besides completing his Bachelor of Commerce at Adelaide University Brett also completed a post-graduate Diploma in Global Wealth Management. He has also attended Strategic Management Courses at the HEC in Paris, Cambridge, Columbia and Stanford.
In 2003 Brett established Pride Advice and through his guidance the company has won its licensee National Advice Practice of the Year six times in a row in 2016, 2017, 2018, 2019, 2020, 2021.
Brett brings to Pride a unique resilience to help people dealing with their own issues. He has personally watched, suffered and learnt from the deaths of family, friends and complete strangers – and shared his knowledge to make the lives of others easier.
He has delivered death messages and covered bodies at accidents, suicides and murder scenes. He has helped rape victims, broken up fights and investigated high profile people. He has been assaulted and king-hit, and faced his own mortality.
But his personal trials and tribulations are barely a diversion compared to the deep loss he felt when his son Jordan was killed in an accident, aged just nine. Another of his children has undergone life-saving liver surgery with ongoing complications ahead of an anticipated transplant.
Brett brings those experiences to the workplace at Pride Advice, where he specialises in giving financial advice to people changing careers, preparing for retirement or at other key life stages. As a pro bono offering, Brett is also often called to discuss financial affairs with those entering palliative care or undergoing cancer treatment after being impacted by cancer when his business partner Katie, 30, was diagnosed with breast cancer just as she fell pregnant with her new husband. He delivered her eulogy two years later.
Life hasn’t always been smooth sailing for Brett, but he has been able to share those experiences to help others navigate challenging financial times, manage windfalls and prepare for uncertainty. He has developed an empathy around suffering.
Ghenwa Alaeddine
A consummate all-rounder, Ghenwa oversees Pride Advice as the Head of Operations. Ghenwa performs her duties with aplomb. She manages the practice, seeing that business runs smoothly and ensuring staff are happy and have all the resources to perform to the highest level.
Ghenwa understands all aspects of financial planning as she is a qualified financial planner and has completed her FASEA accreditation in 2020.
Outside of work, Ghenwa enjoys spending time with her Son Zein and Husband, watching Port Power and catching up with family and friends.
Jolie Boyce
With a distinguished 20-year tenure in the financial services sector, Jolie brings a comprehensive background encompassing paraplanning, personal advice, compliance, and most recently, practice management. She is fervent about fostering enduring relationships both with clients and team members, underscored by her exceptional listening skills, empathy, and knack for devising practical solutions. Jolie is a staunch advocate for the critical role financial advisers play in enlightening and enabling clients to navigate their financial choices confidently. She finds profound satisfaction in watching advisers guide their clients towards achieving outcomes beyond their initial expectations.
Jolie possesses an in-depth understanding of compliance, continuously keeping abreast of sectoral and regulatory developments. Her academic achievements include earning a Graduate Diploma in Financial Planning.
Beyond her professional pursuits, Jolie is an avid reader with a deep appreciation for music and piano. She also cherishes exploring new destinations as well as revisiting cherished old ones in her travels.
David Slovinec
Adviser Profile
Dave is our specialist risk adviser. He has worked in financial services since 2007, and has developed extensive knowledge of the industry and diligently assisted clients through their insurance and superannuation needs. He has also worked with SME’s and their teams to educate them on superannuation and insurance to equip them with knowledge so that they can make better informed decisions about their own superannuation and superannuation requirements.
Prior to Financial Services, Dave gained people and management skills whilst working as a sales manager and running a sales team.
As part of Dave’s philanthropic work, he has chosen to give back to the financial services industry by spending seven years on board of the Association of Financial Advisers (AFA) where he played an extensive part supporting the financial adviser community. His commitment to the community also extends to supporting families caring for children with rare illnesses in the form of an annual event - ‘The Super Loong Lunch’ – now in its 8th year. Since its establishment he has played a major role in raising more than $300,000 to help provide children with lifesaving medical treatments.
Outside of work Dave supports the greatest football club (Port Power) and loves going to the games with his 2 daughters. He is also an avid cook and loves cooking up a storm in the kitchen.
Tracey Boam

Tracey Boam is a Senior Financial Planner whose key focus is to help her clients achieve their goals and to make positive changes in their lives.
She entered into the Financial Services Industry in 2003 after a career as a Hairdresser, Technical Consultant and Hairdressing Teacher; working in both Adelaide and London. Tracey believes the skills and work ethic that she has learnt in her previous career provides her with the empathy and understanding to work with clients of all ages and life stages.
Tracey is a Certified Financial Planner holding the highest designation in Financial Planning in Australia. She is currently studying towards a Graduate Diploma in Financial Planning as she believes her education is integral to her role to better help her Clients.
She believes that the most important part of her role is to help her clients understand their financial journey and achieve the financial future they choose.
Tracey works with Clients of all ages and has a special interest in “Women’s Financial Planning”.

Astrid Lynch

Drawing from over 20 years in the financial services sector, Astrid Lynch is a Senior Financial Adviser whose key focus is to help her clients achieve their goals and positively impact their lives. Astrid entered the financial industry in 2006 working as a tax consultant at KPMG for 5.5years before making the move into Financial Advice in 2011. Astrid enjoys all things finance and has furthered her knowledge holding a Self-Managed Super Fund accreditation and Margin Lending, as well as completing a Cert IV in Leadership and Management.
Astrid believes that the most important part of her role is assisting clients in their knowledge of finance and that it's not about how much you have, but what you choose to do with it!
Grant Lange

Grant brings to Pride Advice a wide range of expertise and over 32 years of experience as an advisor. He is a Certified Financial Planner, holds a Diploma in Financial Planning, is a member of the Financial Planning Association and was elected in the inaugural group of Fellow members of the Self Managed Super Association as a Superannuation Specialist Advisor. His primary focus is directed towards helping people maximise the probability of achieving their objectives and making smart decisions about money. Grant places great emphasis and focus upon his clients’ loyalty and trust – this to him is immeasurable.
Grant’s hobbies include playing golf, supporting the Crows in the AFL and Norwood in the SANFL, taking in movies, enjoying fine wine and food, travelling and actively supporting both his daughter’s sporting pursuits.
Malcolm Brown

Brenton Marriott

Cameron Dennert
Cameron joined Pride Advice in 2023 with more than 12 years' experience in the financial planning and banking industries.
His areas of expertise include technical planning, developing strategic solutions, profiling and analysing investment products.
Outside of work, Cameron enjoys fitness, American sports, travel and spending time with his friends, partner and his staffy, Lincoln.

Alicia Chamberlain
Alicia joined the financial planning industry in 2013 at Bailey Capital Management now merged with Pride Advice. She completed a Bachelor of Business Degree at the University of SA in 2016 whilst starting her role at Pride Advice as Client Services – Team Leader.
Alicia is a hard worker with a friendly and caring nature. Alicia has a passion for ensuring the client’ needs and objectives are met as someone once told her "to take a step back and put yourself in someone else's shoes". Everything Alicia does revolves around producing the best outcome for our clients. This is reinforced when Alicia won Support Staff Member for 2019 for RI Advice Group Pty Ltd, an accolade awarded by the dealer group to someone who demonstrates, consistent high performance, exceptional client service and a commitment to growing their business.
As an Associate, Alicia will work alongside the Financial Advisers to research and build the appropriate strategies for our clients to ensure they continue to achieve their goals and milestones throughout life. She is eager to continually develop her knowledge base which will reflect in the service she continues to provide our clients.

Janet Pawlak
Janet has been working in the finance industry for over 20 years and in 2016 made the move to Financial Planning, joining Pride Advice in 2021. During her time in the industry, Janet has developed many skills and brings a sound knowledge base to her role at Pride Advice and is always looking to learn and build on her expertise.
Her attention to detail and work ethic enable Janet to perform her role with efficiency. As she is often one of the first point of contact with us, Janet prides herself on her strong client focus and enjoys making the Pride experience seamless and enjoyable for everyone.
Outside of work, Janet has many interests that include; netball, socialising with family & friends and is a passionate supporter of the Port Adelaide Football Club.
Deanna Barbaro
Deanna commenced working in the financial services industry in 2016, joining Pride in 2021. Over that time, Deanna has developed the knowledge and skills to diligently perform the duties of a Client Service Officer, and is always willing to learn more and build upon her expertise. In 2020, she began studying a Diploma of Financial Planning and aims to continue her studies into the future.
Her attention to detail, strong work ethic and high-level organisational skills enable Deanna to perform her role with precision and efficiency. As she is often a client’s first point of contact with us, Deanna knows and values the importance of clear communication and teamwork. She prides herself on helping clients enjoy a smooth and seamless experience.
Outside of work, Deanna enjoys spending time with her family and friends and supporting Port Power.
Andi Forte
Andi joined the Pride team in 2020 and comes with 25 years of management, customer service and entrepreneurial experience. In that time her customers have come to value the high priority she places in meeting their needs. She has developed a style that is cordial and relaxed while being thorough and effective. Andi prides herself on her strong customer service ethic and attention to detail. Her experience and care are a valuable asset to the Pride Advice team.
Outside work Andi is family oriented and loves to cook with her husband and two children, sew, make jewellery and also finds time to volunteer at her children’s school.
Leah Langdon
Leah has worked in Financial Services since 1982, working in the Savings Bank for 14 years before joining the Financial Planning Industry. She has been a Client Services Officer for over 27 years and over that time has developed broad knowledge. Leah’s priority is to look after clients to the best of her ability and has a good relationship them. She is focussed on finding solutions and to ensure that all compliance is met.
Leah loves to be active, enjoying gym workouts, long hikes and bike rides, but most of all walking her beloved dogs on the beach. She is happy being with her family and friends, enjoying good food & wine.
Robyn Keyes
Robyn has been a part of the financial planning industry for over 5 years as a Client Services Officer, assisting financial planners with end-to end support, this includes due-diligence and compliance. Her previous experience in customer support and administration has been gained across multiple industries including mining, chemicals and retail. She is an approachable and adaptable team player, willing to ‘go above and beyond’ to support colleagues and meet client needs.
Outside of work, she’ll hit the road and turn pedals on her bike whenever possible, loves food, wine and spending time with family, friends and her trusty Border Collie named ‘Dusty’.
Jennah Murray
After 15 years as a retail assistant and manager in the fashion industry, Jennah wanted a change of scenery, different job opportunities and to take on new challenges while still fulfilling an excellent standard of customer service.
In 2018, Jennah joined the Pride Advice team and quickly became an integral part of the client services team. Her extensive customer service experience has proved invaluable and has assisted her in her role at Pride Advice.
Jennah is the reliable, trustworthy and enthusiastic face you see at the front desk Monday to Friday and comforting and helpful person answering your calls, queries and directs you through to the extended Pride Team.
Outside of work, Jennah is an avid animal lover with a particular affection for our native birdlife. She enjoys supporting Port Power and exploring new Vegan eateries.

5 months ago, I sustained an injury outside of work which still today has not healed, and have been unable to work since. I have recently been diagnosed with Cancer and am now undergoing Chemotherapy. My Doctor has told me I will need at least a year off of work due to the nature of what I do. Pride Advice have helped me to make a claim on my insurances and thankfully I now have an ongoing income and a lump sum in my bank account. This has taken a lot of pressure off financially and I can now just concentrate on getting well. I’m very grateful that I had good cover in place and some support during this challenging time in my life.DH
